Hostess Appreciation

27 March, 2010

Early March I held a hostess appreciation for my past hostesses and we had a wonderful time. We made two projects, an Easter Basket with a punch art bunny (Amy Celona) and a desktop calender (cased from my upline, Steph Pike).

Here’s the bunny Easter Basket:

and the desk top calendar. Hope you like them. I’ll take photos of all of the pages some other day… time is short…

Bulrush card

25 March, 2010

Here’s another card using Inspired by Nature, this time it’s bulrushes. Did you notice that the wide oval punch has a scallop around it? It was made by using the scallop edge oval punch – punch out 3 scallops, one for the top and one for the bottom. As for the sides, just cut the last scalloped oval in half and align the scallops and there you have it. Isn’t that fantastic? Amanda Saffrey showed us how to do it at one of our team meetings.

Basket Case for Envelopes

23 March, 2010

It’s time I finally had a new home for my mini square envelopes (fits my 3×3 inch love notes). Previously they were squashed into a round basket – now everyone knows that a square peg does not fit into a circle hole. But I ‘made it fit’… unfortunately for my poor out of shape red basket. Here’s what it used to look like with the envelopes all squashed into it.
Squashed and out of shape

And here is the new home, weaved box that I quickly designed (not too bad since there was no design, just a concept)

And with the lid closed. I was really contemplating whether I really needed a lid for this square basket, in the end, I created one – had to keep the dust away!

And here’s the unfortunate basket that I weaved a couple of months ago (the tutorial is on Split Coast Stampers). It looks permanently damaged and out of shape – I won’t be able to resurrect this one.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a card… so here’s one using one of my favourite stamp sets, Inspired by Nature. Then again, I have so many favourite stamp sets.

House Card Box

18 March, 2010

If for some reason , you’re like me and like to blog surf, you may have noticed that there have been plenty of house boxes popping up. I’ve decided to make mine after a few inspirations from many blogs.  Here’s my take on the little house box and it sure fits plenty of cards and envelopes!

Hope you like it.

Kaleidoscope Tote

17 March, 2010

I really wanted to showcase our gorgeous Kaleidoscope DSP before it disappears, so what else to make other than a beautiful tote, totally cased the idea from Adele. As I don’t have the Cricut, I used her design to create this lovely bright tote. It fits plenty of standard cards and envelopes. I co-ordinated the DSP with Pixie Pink card stock and faux stitching with a white gel pen. Don’t forget to put in your order for this gorgeous paper before the end of March.

Hope you like it!
