I really find it hard to make one layer cards, so here’s one, it’s simple yet soft and feminine. I’ve made it for one of my friend’s birthday, so now that I think she’s received it, I can now post it here. It’s been a while since I took out the Twill Tape, but I’m so glad I did. I love how I can stamp on it – can you see the bamboo stamp randomly stamped on it? And then two little Antique Brass brads to tie it onto the card.

Here’s a card that I made after I went over to the US Stampin’ Up! website and had a look at some of the projects.
I love the poppin’ pastels technique here where I used 3 colours, mellow moss, ruby red and pretty in pink pastels to pop up the background.
Hope you like it!

Seeing so many little top note boxes and bags on the net when I’ve blog surf, I thought I’ll make one too. They’re so cute and the fit my 3×3 love notes perfectly.
So here’s one that I’ve made. It has a different clasp on it compared to my normal velcro closures or flaps tucking under scallop circles.
I used the Riding Hood taffeta ribbon and folded the ribbon to hide the white edge and then tuck it up nicely behind the DSP with sticky strip and used it to catch around the brad.
What do you think?
And here’s the clasp up close.
Paper – Riding Hood Red CS, Bella Rose DSP
Accessories – Big Shot, Top Note Bigz Die, Scallop Circle Bigz Die, Circle Scissor Plus, Pretties Kit (Brad), Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Riding Hood Red Grosgrain Ribbon

I received bird punch and I love it! It’s just so easy to make a quick embellishment for a box or card. Here are two quick items I made using the new Extra Large Two Step Bird punch.
The first is using the Fancy Favor XL Die and then adding the bird as an embellishment. How cute is the little birdie!
Paper – Bella Bleu DSP, Not Quite Navy, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Close to Cocoa, Old Olive CS

Here’s a card I made using the bird punch and the Lots of Tags Sizzlits Dies.

I’ve been blog surfing and I came across a really neat way of showcasing the Big Shot embossing folders. You can see it here with this card I made for my mother-in-law’s birthday. Hope she likes the card! I’ve used the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder with a specially made oval frame mat. I used the large oval from the Ovals Original Dies and enlarged it by nearly a centimetre around it. Then instead of using one of the cutting mats, I used this oval frame mat and embossed the card stock, it left an unembossed oval area. Really simple and now my oval frame mat is reusable for other cards that I’m going to make.

A few weeks ago, before I went over to Japan for a holiday, I held an open house for the new Autumn mini. We made two items, one of them was this card using the Vintage Vogue Clear Mount stamp set and the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder through the Big Shot.
As for the 3D item, the ladies made a quick little box using the Big Shot Fancy Favor Die. I was originally planning on using the bird punch, however I didn’t receive it in time. I’ll make one later.
If you missed out this time, contact me and you can make this at your next workshop.
